 English name of dragon fruit- Pitaya. The scientific name of dragon fruit is Hylocereus undatus.

Dragon fruit cultivation method

1. Selection and preparation of arable land:

 To cultivate dragon fruit, it is very important to know all these things, whether it is fertile-infertile or high-low-flat. In order to cultivate dragon fruit, one has to select high and medium-high fertile soil. Seedlings should be planted in the land with 2 to 3 tillage and after tillage, the soil should be leveled well.

2. Collection of Dragon Fruit Seedlings:

Dragon fruit saplings are better to collect seeds from dragon fruit than to produce seedlings by grafting new seedlings.

3. Holes for planting dragon fruit saplings:

Make a hole 1.5 m * 1.5 wide * 1 m in the level of the ladder and leave it open for a few days so that the soil dries up. After 15 days, mix 20 to 25 kg of decomposed dung, 250 gms of TSP and MOP, 15 gms of gypsum, and 50 gms of zinc sulfate in the soil well.

If the place is too dry, sprinkle with water. 10 to 15 days after the completion of the above work, keep a distance of 50 cm in each hole and plant 4 seedlings (cuttings/pens) straight in each hole. Irrigate regularly. Care should be taken that the roots of the tree do not rot in too much water and do not dry out again.

Apply 100 g of urea fertilizer every three months from one month to 1 year after planting dragon fruit seedlings. This will allow the seedlings to grow faster and yield more.

4. How to take care of dragon fruit trees:

 A very scary name for weeds. In order to get a good yield, regular irrigation, as well as regular weeding of the roots of the tree, is required. To protect it from the hands of cattle, make a fence around the garden at a height of two to two and a half meters.
